Dearest buddies,

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I had done the MRI scan on 14/12 and the result show slight improvement compared to last scan and Dr Mellor said my next treatment will be a combination of "accurate" radiotherapy (35 times) and chemotherapy (7 times). I will be checking in to SJMC on 18/12 to do the necessary preparation and will check out on 19/12. The treatment will start on 26/12 for about 7 week as outpatient.

At the moment, I'm experiencing constipation only.

(This portion was added on 10th October 2007)
As usual, Abang remind me to continue all the treatment suggested by my Doctor and also told me that I am progessing very positively. Ask me to continue drinking his blessing water and I can stop taking the banana inner skin and ask me to walk as much as I can.

Cheers.
Michael Gan
My comment: Enjoy every moment of my life.

Hi Mike,

How is your Sosco claim ?

The radio (35) and chemo (7) is the same treatment l went through in 2005. Don't worry much about the chemo as they have good medicine that will suppresed the side effects (eg. vomiting). The radiotheraphy was quite tough, especially towards the end. You will have dry mouth, lost your taste (this is temporary and should come back after 6 months). I know you are very strong and should overcome these difficulties. Most important, drink a lot of water (prefer coconut water) as the radiotherapy is very 'heatty'

Take care,
JL
